Where do you find scholarly articles that you read on a regular basis? Search a scholarly database such as CINAHL, which is available in the CCN online library. Choose a topic of interest to you and your practice and find a scholarly article. Write a short paragraph about what you learned in the article and include a properly formatted citation in APA format.
This week in the discussion threads we will start to look at scholarly sources. This TD addresses the following Course Outcome:
C02: Integrate application of professional values, service, and accountability when planning for personal, intellectual, and professional development.
As you reflect on your lesson, there are four databases that really are a “must” for nurses to explore. They include MEDLINE, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, and the Joanna Briggs Institute. Did you know that the Chamberlain Library offers you access to all four of these databases? Please pull your selected literature from a search of the Chamberlain Library. I am attaching a helpful handout regarding how to search the Chamberlain Library for nursing theory, but you should substitute any topic of your interest. Hope this helps, and be sure to cite the sources you use to demonstrate support for your position.
I look forward to our discussion!
